Amount of food for kittens?

At the moment they're on two pouches (Felix AGAIL) and a bowl of biscuits (RC kitten) each. I make sure there are biscuits available but when I put out their food they're starving. They're around 5 and 8 months old. Should I increase the amounts? I do intend to change their food once they're more settled but in the meantime should I give them more?

Feed them a few times a day.... perhaps 1/2 a pouch, 4 or 5 times daily. Biscuits to be available all day long. Water, obviously. Also, some good quality food. Whiskas, Felix and the likes contain only about 4% of meat/protein. It isn't decent enough for growing kittens.

You might be just as well to buy a turkey leg (I used to get them from Asda for about £2 or £3, but I expect other shops sell them too) and cook it well, and it should last a few days.

I fed whenever he wanted. They grow so fast and need the calories.

Kittens can pretty much have as much as they want until they are about a year old. As Lynne1Cat says, I too would recommend a better quality food. Animonda Carny from ZooPlus for example is a great choice and the saver packs work out cheaper than Felix AGAIL as you won't be feeding as much (it's pretty much all meat in Carny).

Yes I will definitely change their food. Alas they're so nervy still that I don't want to make big changes yet. They're frightened of their own shadows.
