My neighbour sent me this on FB this afternoon with the caption 'I'm so tired I can't walk to the food bowl...carry me!'
This is not Thelma but another of his women Grin
No wonder he's huge... he is having meals at every house!!

He is an awesome beastie tho :)

He is awesome! Is his alternative name "The cowardly lion"?

How is your old girl?

StillMedusa · 23/09/2018 17:17

She's still going !! Thin as a rail (just over 4 pounds ) but still purring, slapping us and being a general pain Grin I had her nails cut last week and the vet checked her over and said her heart is still fab and her kidney issues are being kept in check. Her teeth aren't great but they won't put her under to take any more out so she does have pretty bad breath (mind you so would I if I hadn't brushed them for 18.6 years!)
I suspect she will make 19 :)

Every time I think how big and heavy my 6kg Boycat is, I remember pics of Obie & realise he's actually a very normal size Grin.

Then again, Boycat would never put up with being held the way Obie does.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/09/2018 20:43

Ha ha I love an obie post!

StillMedusa · 23/09/2018 22:58

Allergic He's like a sack of spuds and really doesn't care! Plus he's so damn heavy no one holds him for long!

9GreenBottles · 23/09/2018 23:12

How big is he? (Or how little is she? 😀)

ClothOnASloth · 23/09/2018 23:21

Obie looks like a person wearing a cat costume. :o

Absolutely gorgeous though.

ShovingLeopard · 23/09/2018 23:24

OMG, he is absolutely magnificent! I don't think I've ever seen a bigger cat, nor one as handsome.

FogCutter · 23/09/2018 23:30

Omg that's not a cat it's a lion!

He's absolutely gorgeous!

DramaAlpaca · 23/09/2018 23:36

Blimey, that cat is about the same size as my spaniel Shock

He's enormous. And gorgeous!

StillMedusa · 24/09/2018 16:31

9greenbottles He's around 25 pounds and built like a night club bouncer! He also has the thickest coat I have ever seen.. it's incredible .Unfortunately he refuses to be groomed (we comb his sister every day but he just slopes off to a different house!) so he has to be shaved bald twice a year! He is also a total pansy scaredy cat... terrified of his own shadow!

TheTrapDoor · 24/09/2018 16:36

Wow! He's awesome!

Lynne1Cat · 24/09/2018 16:45

He's massive! Is he a Norwegian forest cat?

Ski37 · 24/09/2018 18:06

He’s awesome- I love how the biggest cats seem to be the biggest wimps/ softest cats!

StillMedusa · 24/09/2018 22:06

Lynne1 He's a Maine Coon. I have two and his sister is somewhat smaller and a lot better behaved! (except she hates him!)

9GreenBottles · 24/09/2018 23:36

25lbs! You would have to warm up before trying to lift him 😀 Gorgeous boy though.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/09/2018 01:48

Did you let his sister move in with your DD?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/09/2018 08:00

I'm sorry OP but I think you are mistaken. That's not a cat - it's two cats.

serbska · 25/09/2018 15:50

YES!!!

I love Obie and his adventures.

StillMedusa · 25/09/2018 21:31

Toddler DD2 is still at home... looking to move (locally yay:) ) with her boyfriend after Xmas. If they can find somewhere which is suitable and allows a cat, Ophie will go with her as they are in love.

Galling but that's cats for you! I think Obie will be home more then as he is terrified of his sister as she hisses at him the moment he comes in!

Toddlerteaplease · 26/09/2018 08:35

That sounds like a good solution. Though what will Obie's wives do without him? I remember almost spitting out my tea laughing, when you were informed of another wife, and she demonstrated how he give her kisses. Such a wonderful beast!

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/09/2018 09:18

We had a brother sister pair and they never got on past kitten hood.

serbska · 26/09/2018 15:37

Was that the kisses for dreamies wife?
