Now what? The fucking cat has just shat in the tumble dryer. I'm going to have to junk the dryer, no?

Just turn it on, it will dry it out and you can remove it easily Grin

ZeroFuchsGiven · 19/09/2018 10:13

On a serious note though, I have no advice, Cats are arseholes although I love them dearly

Want2beme · 19/09/2018 10:18

Would a pet store have any advice? White vinegar is supposed to get rid of smells. If you soak a towel in the vinegar and water then bung it in the dryer, maybe that'll help.

BellMcEnd · 19/09/2018 10:20

Cats are massive bastards .

Oh dear. I’ve no advice, sorry.

Curlypop · 19/09/2018 10:24

mine did this half in the drum, half in the sodding fluff filter, a lot of bleach and cleaning took place but its fine now

chickhonhoneybabe · 19/09/2018 10:27

😂😂 cats are arseholes at times! Wounder why on earth they thought it was a good idea? Can you pick it up in some tissue and give it a wipe around with some bleach, let it dry and put something old in for a quick dry?

I thought mine was bad enough, he keeps doing it in the bath which is easily enough to clean up tho.

Fundays12 · 19/09/2018 10:28

Mine did thus it was brand new too at the time I as furious. The cat got served a days eviction notice (returned the next morning looking sheepish) whilst I cleaned the blinking thung out. I used zoflora and scrubbed really hard then put zoflora on a cloth and in the machine then put it on. I had to do this a few times and let it air in between and clean it a few times with zoflora but the smell eventually went.

Put a litter box near the tumble drier - it obviously like the warm private space. Give it the same in the area only with an actual litter box.

I'm so sorry that I have zero to add but your thread title made me laugh out loud on what is, frankly, a fucking awful day, so thanks for cheering me up!

My cat shat in the bath one night which I thought was quite clever for being the right room at least. My fault for shutting the door to HIS private bathroom.

Fundays12 · 19/09/2018 11:08

My cat when I was a kid used to shit in the toilet Matt when she was desperate and locked in. Quite clever really.

God your post gave me anxiety! Please keep washing machine/ dishwasher/ tumble dryer doors shut. Cats climb into them, especially tumble dryers where there might be a pile of warm washing. Then the doors get inadvertently shut. Good luck cleaning it up but be relieved nothing worse happened to your cat Smile
