Is being pinned into bed by cats a legitimate reason to miss mass?!

Felt very guilty about having to disturb them so I could get up. Was completely pinned in on both sides!

My mum's got that series of books! They're lovely, and the photos are exquisite.

I try to replicate those kinds of photos with Leroy. It doesn't work. He's got the diva-like temperament of a top supermodel, but the inability to actually pose.

Ooh, I must look out for those, Toddlertea.

Think they are by Richard Surman. A second volume of Cathedral cats was published a couple of years ago. They are beautiful books and some very funny cats in them!

Toddler Had you suggested Magnificat you might have got somewhere...one of the Ca(n)ticles!!!!

Toddlerteaplease · 19/09/2018 01:38

Lol. A kitten was found yesterday in the pipe work to one of the baths in Lourdes. My friend suggested calling it Magnificat.

Follow on from this thread. Need to leave the house in 20 minutes for church. Big cats clearly have other ideas.

But leaving a church without an organist would be a greater sin than me missing mass for no legitimate reason!

Last time I sang in Wells Cathedral - there was an incumbent cat, which during the morning service suddenly appeared from under the alter having been previously hidden by the altar cloth. Kept the choir amused

That would be Louis, who, rumour has it, is a very naughty boy.

I'll look up his entry in cathedral cats when I get home!

Not going to Hell this week Grin - I turfed the cats off in time (I hate to think what eternal tortures they will plan for me though!).

And yes it was Louis under the altar at Wells - but you'll be pleased to know there was no sign of a dog's head in his mouth.

Do not worry JC will be quite understanding, no doubt he would miss mass too if he could. ;) lol

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/09/2018 14:04

He's not in Volume 1 ... :(

viques · 23/09/2018 17:03

God will understand, and if he kicks up rough refer him to Julian of Norwich who has her ginger companion immortalised in her window at Norwich Cathedral.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/09/2018 20:50

He's not In volume too either. I can't find my copy of Vol 1Sad
