How to get cat diarrhoea out of a grey carpet?

Second thread in a week regarding my little new rescue boy He's had diarrhoea for the last few days which I was putting down to the stress of a new environment as he is a nervy little lad. However I feel like it's gone on a bit too long now, he's doing about 3/4 sloppy poos every 24 hrs and they're quite big for a little cat.

He's been having a felix pouch morning and evening and whisked dry food to supplement in the day. Anyone suggests any other food that might be easier on his bowels?

Also, when he's used his tray, which he does beautifully, he's obviously got a bit on his paw and then trod it round my house I can see him looking at me and with sorry eyes I think he's embarrassed bless him.

Anyone know the best way to get cat diarrhoea out of a carpet....?

Not sure about getting it out of the carpet but I would suggest giving him plain boiled chicken and nothing else for a little while. When our boy had sickness and diarrhoea we were told to do this by the vet. Just let it cool down, chop it up into really small pieces and give it to them plain for a couple of days with no biscuits. Just small regular meals of chicken x

I've got some in ready so can feed him some chicken today. Poor little boy. He seems fine in himself though, hoping this isn't a long lived problem for him.

I would get him off Whiskas dry and onto a high meat no/low grain dry instead.

A bigger litter tray might help.

Vanish Pet Expert spray is very good on carpet (I have a pukey cat).

You can also buy large mats from pets at home to go underneath the litter tray that help stop everything going everywhere and also I find a litter tray with a hood helps loads x

Yeah I've got the matts. He's got two trays, one massive one and one smaller one, seems to poo in the small one and wee in the big one

Given him the chicken. Will see how he goes, he seemed to enjoy it. He's not a fussy eater bless him.

Saved the carpet with just some cold water and a cloth then went over with a odour/stain spray phew

I very much doubt he's sorry, it's a trick to make you feel sorry for him and to lull you into a false sense of security!

So he's been on the boiled chicken diet and a small amount of dry food yesterday and today, and we have solid poo! I was so happy to see an actual poo to scoop in the tray I can't believe how sad I am.

Now I'm wary about putting him back on his felix pouches. Shall I try a slow re-introduction or a new food entirely Been doing some research into best foods for sensitive cats but so confusing...

my kitten bad bad dioreah and some sickness for quite a while last year.

Vet gave him some meds, and told me to feel him poached (in water) chicken and mash up some cooked white rice in that.

After a week that was kinda a bit of a chore tone honest (I was cooking more for the cat than me!) and the vet said I could feed him one of the royal canin ones which he had for another two weeks then slowly reintroduced back his normal food over another week or more.
