Can you get insurance for urinary system after one resolved episode of acute kidney failure?

Wish we'd taken out life time cover for our 3 year old cat. He recently had an episode of acute kidney failure after eating something toxic. This resolved with iv fluids and all blood tests normal since, but I fear kidneys will always be excluded from future insurance plans. Or is it possible to get them insured?

Sometimes they have an exclusion for 12-18 months or something like that. Best to discuss with he insurance company directly.

IME just about every insurance company will exclude kidney issues and a lot of the 'cheaper policies' will now put a urinary exclusion on.
