3-4 weekly flea treatment - better to do it before dropping off at the cattery or on pick up

Hi,

I do the cats every 4 weeks usually, but the packet says it can be used every 3 weeks.

They're due to go in the cattery in 3 weeks, and I'm trying to work out whether it's better to do them before, so the treatment's fresh, and they don't catch any, or when they come back.

Any opinions? Thanks.

I do mine before. As they ask when it was done on admission.

Which flea treatment are you using?
Only the ones from vet's are effective, anything you can buy from the supermarket is useless at best.

My Mum (who is visiting and just told me this last night) used to do her when she came home as she ahd a house cat..

However I will do Ernie before he goes in..I'm sure I have been asked by the cattery to de-flea before admission

I give the next dose for the cattery to do if it’s due when he’s in there.
