Outdoor cat furniture

I have a 7 year old cat who was always been an indoors boy. He has now decided that he likes going out into the garden, but seems to be wandering round for somewhere to sleep and so I'm looking at getting him some sort of outdoors cat bed.

He loves his indoor cat tree (as it means he can hide from our small dog who periodically jumps at/annoys him) so I was thinking something with a raised platform that he can sunbathe on but I'd also like something enclosed so that he can shelter if there's rain and I'm not home to let him in the house (he won't use a catflap as he's scared of them). But could/would rats etc get in to an enclosed bit?

Any suggestions very welcome. Also, couldn't resist (hopefully) putting a picture of my beautiful boy!

No suggestions but what a beautiful boy 😍. Is he Persian? He is gorgeous.

I wouldn't worry about rats, pretty sure the cat will keep them away.

Posted too soon, friends and neighbours have accommodated their out door cats with a hive like pod under a car port and another put a cat flap in the shed.

Any good? This was on eBay.

@rupertpenryswife He's a shorthaired persian - an exotic - but with a less pushed in face than normal exotics so he doesn't have breathing issues.

Please excuse the fake flowers in the last post's pictures - I can't have real flowers in the house as a certain cat always eats them.

He's gorgeous My friend has a Persian exotic almost identical, her name is Betty.
I'm surprised he climbs much. My Persians don't and neither does Betty. Persians are the best. Have a look at Kalven. They do outdoor stuff.

@Toddlerteaplease Wow! Betty is the absolute double of my boy! I wonder if they're related?

I know what you mean about the climbing being odd for a Persian, it's always surprised me as well. He is much more 'cat-like' than my previous Persian cats in terms of climbing, jumping and hunting. I'd always assumed there was some Bengal in his family tree as he's the most vocal cat I've had as well.

Oh he's gorgeous... he almost looks like a cuddly toy in the first picture!!

My two sunbathe on a kind of corrugated plastic 'roof' over the patio outside the back door. But that little house looks brilliant.

Betty is from a rescue. I believe she was in Scotland before that. She lives with her daughter who is crossed with a Selkirk Rex and behaves like a proper cat!

Hunting? My two could t catch a cold!!
