Help! I need kitten names. I'm stumped.

We're getting girl / boy sibling Siamese. I want literary names that I won't be embarrassed calling out of the kitchen door!

I quite like fantasy names, and quite liked Solembum and Maud - but I simply cannot shout Solembum in public and retain my dignity. I also liked Pyramus and Thisbe - but again - Pyramus is not a shoutable name.

Any suggestions?

Frodo and Freda (Lord of the rings)

In fact I like those names so much that I’m buying two cats now just so I can call them that.

One of my cats is named after a hat, Trilby. The vets love his name!

@Toddlerteaplease thanks we're quite proud of them. We thought about getting another cat at one point but coudln't think of another punny name on the egyptian theme so didn't bother. Grin

my cousin is a vet she is a big fan of people who take their surname into consideration when thinking up a name. because your cat doesn't get called just Tiddles at the vet but instead is "Tiddles Smith". I can't think of any of the ones she's mentioned to me before but for example if your surname was Walks you could name your cat Ministry of Funny.

I like the suggestion someone else made of Heathcliff and Cathy.

Also perhaps Daisy and Gatsby?
Or depending what sort of fantasy you're into maybe Greebo and Nanny?

Apologies, I thought I'd posted a reply much earlier.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I particularly like Abelard and Heloise.

I do keep going back to Solembum.. I really can't shout it in the garden but I do love the character.
