I made the decision to have my lovely little Lottie put to sleep last Friday. She was over 18.5, had limited sight, limited hearing and senile. She was finding it harder to get around and find her food, I just couldn't put her through it any more.
I'm so grateful for the many happy hours I had with her (and her brother who we lost last year) but it's not easy. Sounds sad, but I went to a larger Tescos on Saturday to get myself out. Luckily I was working yesterday and then only a couple of hours today, but I've had my fair share of tears this morning.
My daughter doesn't live with us (she has a scholarship at a private school) and sent a message late last night asking about Lottie - my husband said he'll tell her tonight as he'll be a lot calmer.
If you're in a similar situation, how are you?
