Whoever recommended the pull along carrier, a huge thank you

It was a godsend this month ending when Daphne’s pot fell off. It has three entrances and my neighbour had already been playing with them in it whilst I was in hospital. She went in with no drama. I didn’t pull it as I thought the road was bumpy but I had a go coming out of the vets. We are now going to Sainsbury’s and to the gp. I don’t think we will be spotted! I need to get back to my sick bed. Thank you so much. We are on the bus

Daphne’s pot fell off

?

Glad it worked out for you!

EachandEveryone · 01/05/2018 12:36

She’s broke her leg I got up this morning to find it on the sofa. I don’t know how and I was crying at the vet as you know I’ve jusr got out of hospital and I can’t help but blame myself. She said don’t cage her it will ruin her psychologically!! I guess the upside is that I am off sick and can watch her like a hawk.

You mean you found the cast on the sofa? (?)

Naughty girl Daph!

Poor Each and Daphne. Dolly will have to be Nurse Dolly.

God, cats never cease to amaze me! I wonder how she got it off?

EachandEveryone · 01/05/2018 13:31

I dunno her skin and fur intact. It was still hurting though but i caught her just in time. Now she has a big bandage on which says DO NOT TOUCH on it. Its splints not a pot this time. Shes just watching telly. I want to get in the bath! We have pain killer tablets, lets hope we dont get them mixed up!

My friends cat managed to get her plaster off as well. No idea how. I hope she can read!

EachandEveryone · 01/05/2018 14:54

How do you give your tablets?

With a pill popper thing. All in one go. She's as good as gold.

Weedsnseeds1 · 02/05/2018 07:40

I wonder how much assistance was needed before it just spontaneously "fell off" ?Grin
How did taking her for a sneaky pull in Sainsbury's work out?!

EachandEveryone · 02/05/2018 08:30

Oh fine she was very good it just looks like an airline carry on. We had a good walk tbh. My friends invited me to hers this week and to bring her. Im not sure if that could work? She has a massive house and two little cats will it be too upsetting? My friend panics and told me a dog will go for her in the bag what do you all think?

I took her cone off to feed her and she was straight under the kitchen table it took alot for me to get her out. I feel so sorry for her. I really hope this is over before my hysterectomy.

My cats over the years have been visiting for weekends with no I'll effect. They've all been fairly confident types though.
How are you feeling now?

EachandEveryone · 02/05/2018 20:11

Im tired i cant believe how pale i look in the mirror. I dont know if ots the pain killers knocking me out.

Daphne sleeps solidly for 12 hours after i give her painkillers and im supposed to do it twice a day. Do you think its too much? It stops her from walking but dont they need some movement?

Kenworthington · 02/05/2018 20:17

Ooh that may have been me? I did recommend one my friend has a few weeks ago. Anyway glad it’s worked out if it’s you op. Daphne looks very happy in it!

Kenworthington · 02/05/2018 20:17

Ps I would be THRILLED to come across a cat in the supermarket

EachandEveryone · 02/05/2018 21:36

The vet loved it she gave it a proper check over and I clipped her collar to the lead in it.

Cats sleep for unfeasible amounts of time anyway, so I don't suppose it's like a human needing to keep mobile Smile

EachandEveryone · 05/05/2018 01:13

I still stretch it for her and roll it around Blush i cant face another vet visit. I do think i should probably cut down on the pain killers though.

They do seem to heal much faster than people do.
How much longer did the vet think she'll need her splint for?

EachandEveryone · 05/05/2018 12:55

Oh its extended nowto three week! I just hope i dont get called in for my op before. I caught them in thr act this morning Daphne just lying there whilst Dolly had a good chew on it. Do you think i should get some of that brown bandage tape that we use at work or that spray to put then off. My vet said it doesnt really work.

Maybe stick the cone of shame on Dolly rather than Daphne? Sounds like she .ight have been instrumental in removing it in the first place Grin

Vinorosso74 · 05/05/2018 23:33

Yes it does seem likely....
"Come here Daphne, I can get that off for you"

EachandEveryone · 09/05/2018 13:53

Tbh it’s been a godsend I took her for a walk yesterday and sat outside Costa the kids loved talking to her. Now I’ve put her on the balcony to get some fresh air, it’s like our mothers putting us out in our Parma for a nap!!!
