First Daphne and her broken leg and now I’ve been admitted. They think I have a twisted ovarian cyst I’ve never been in such pain. I was begging them to knock me out. Im on a morphine drip which isn’t brilliant and i may be for surgery this morning. My poor girls I really shouted at them to get out of my way last night they kept trying to escape.

She said I have to go home and go through my gp as there are procedures. She said is there any point when they will shrink (very painfully) soon anyway? I’ve told her I can’t go to work on morphine and not been able to bend over and tie my shoes. I’ll be in here’s until
The pain has lessened without the morphine.

That's barbaric Each. I'm so sorry.

EachandEveryone · 27/04/2018 07:20

Each, I have no idea what that means - but I hope that it means that they will Do Something. :(

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 27/04/2018 09:57

I hope they can do something for you soon Flowers

TheLongRider · 27/04/2018 10:12

There's no way they should send you home in that state. I hope your niece and your girls are coping well.

Sad
EachandEveryone · 27/04/2018 12:04

I’m waiting for a line so I can get back on the morphine and have some antibiotics.ive been having a new line every day. I feel
Crap. I’m so used to working with paeds that it’s really thrown me to see things from the adult side. I got told off st 5am for making tea with my own tea bags I was awake as they had an admission and I was shooed back to bed. Where I work we would’ve said you go back to bed and I’ll bring you one. I drink about ten cups of tea a day this is very hard for me!!

I’ve done a zooplus order for the girls and ordered a big transport case on wheels and asked my niece to open it so they can get used to it. As soon as I get home Daphne will need to go straight to the vets in it!

Each that sounds awful. I'm sure your niece is looking after your girls well. Am going to PM you.

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 16:13

How you doing, Each?

EachandEveryone · 27/04/2018 18:10

I just feel really down I’m in pain and on Oromorph. I’m scared to go home on Oromorph do you think I will see a different doctor over the weekend?

cozietoesie · 27/04/2018 19:38

Oh Dear. Are they planning to release you? If so, why not tell them about your concerns?

Cindie943811A · 27/04/2018 21:45

Hope you feel better soon

EachandEveryone · 28/04/2018 09:06

Yes they are moving me to
A gynae Ward!!!! My niece isn’t impressed by the new carrier but I think it looks fine it better be as she will have to go to
Vets next week!

Well it’s one thing after the other isn’t it?

Yes they are moving me to
A gynae Ward!!!!

What will this mean for you and your treatment?

And oh my goodness! Dolly sitting so innocently in the V.E.T. transport vehicle! Bet it's the last time that happens.

EachandEveryone · 28/04/2018 09:18

It means there’s been no room and I’ve been on a hip replacement ward and I have seen a gynaecologist once a day if I’ve been lucky. It’s been a week. My problem is ovarian cysts and giant fibroids that have started to
Fall appart. I feel
If I’m on a gynae ward I’ll get listened to I hope that’s the plan

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/04/2018 09:25

Here's hoping that you get proper treatment soon then. Flowers.

Weedsnseeds1 · 28/04/2018 11:06

It sounds awful. Hope you get some action and a treatment plan now you are changing wards.
The carrier looks good. Is it a pull along one on wheels?

EachandEveryone · 28/04/2018 11:54

It was recommended on here. Amazon was about £50 I think

TheLongRider · 28/04/2018 20:55

Good luck! I hope that if we don't hear anything from you for a couple of days that your actually being sorted out rather than left alone. Your girls will certainly give you a good sniff when you get home.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/04/2018 12:16

Is there an update Each?

EachandEveryone · 29/04/2018 15:03

Yes moving to the right ward has made all the difference. I saw the head of gynae today who couldnt believe id been stuck on a morphine drip in the back of beyond for a week. Hes advised a hysterectomy leaving my ovaries in and i agree with him. Im on an emergency list so back in withing 2-4 weeks. Apparently its going to be 8 weeks recuperating. Im scared. Anyone had one? What will i do with the girls? Is it worth me paying a cat sitter once a day? Its the litter tray im worried about. I wonder if my insurance covers a cattery stay im sure ive seen it somewhere. I just mean initially or do i rely on the good will of my neighbour?

Ive messed them about so much Sad. On a happy note im just waiting for my painkillers and I'll be home tonight.

No advice Each, but this does sound like good news on balance. Maybe post in a health forum or something? I'm assuming the surgery will be keyhole? In that case, I can't see recovery lasting 8 weeks???
