No she’s home it was very traumatic on the bus every time I get the bus from the vets they won’t take my card I end up walking for miles

Anyone can help me with what to do
Now? How do I feed her she hates this thing round her neck will she get used to it?

EachandEveryone · 16/04/2018 18:25

Oh poor Daph. You can get different types of collars if it means she more comfortable. I hope she copes ok and Dolly leaves her cast alone.
I can sympathise on the plantar fasciitis-had it a while back and the agony first thing in the morning. A large Wine for you this evening?

Papergirl1968 · 16/04/2018 18:42

Aw, poor Daphne. It’s a nuisance but thank goodness it’s not anything more serious.
Her little pink cast is sweet but no wonder she’s unimpressed.
Hope they’ve given her some painkillers and that you both get some sleep tonight.

Cailleach1 · 16/04/2018 18:57

Hope she feels better soon. My boy fell while jumping from one table to another. My son witnessed him landing awkwardly on his behind/tail. Otherwise we would have had no idea what happened. He was limping and his tail was dragging on the floor after him that evening.

Worried vet visit, too. A few mls of painkiller mixed into his morning lick e lix for five days and he was right as rain. It is a magic vehicle for meds in my house.

Hope Daphne's recovery is quick. Good luck with the cone. I see it is tied on at the bottom. My girl had one like that and had it off in the first hour home from being spayed!

EachandEveryone · 16/04/2018 19:09

She’s had some tuna and has stood up for a minute or so. I’m dreading work on Wednesday 14 hours with no one in!! I’ve had to put her tunnel away incase she gets stuck in it

Poor Daphne. Best wishes for a fast recoveryGin

Toddlerteaplease · 16/04/2018 21:49

Could you get a camera to keep an eye on her. That what o did when I was worried about fatty's jaw. And I use it when I'm away.

Toddlerteaplease · 16/04/2018 21:49

Or can someone pop in to check on her?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/04/2018 21:54

There was another thread about cones - I posted this. Would that be any better for her? It's a soft cone so possibly more comfortable.

That might work. Im scared shes going to injure herself shes walking around face down with it scraping along the floor. Its the shame her catterys not more local i couldve popped her in there.

QueenOfAccidentalDeathStares · 17/04/2018 10:03

Would a crate be safer for her? (Possibly not for you when you let her out of it thoughWink )

EachandEveryone · 17/04/2018 10:34

She’s been asleep in the clean washing all morning she’s tealky down bless her. I’ve taken the collar off while I’m here

Weedsnseeds1 · 18/04/2018 21:11

If she's not worrying at it with the collar off, I would leave it off. To be honest I have never had a cone on any of mine for spays ( all bar current boy, pre-neutered) and major abdominal surgery in old girl's case.

EachandEveryone · 18/04/2018 21:46

Ive got in from work and put it on her for abit shes asleep on the kitchen floor. Shes just had whiskers for the first time in her life as ive ran out if her grain free. Of course she thought it was xmas!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/04/2018 14:21

How's she going, Each?

EachandEveryone · 19/04/2018 14:41

Shame about the glorious weather as she loves to sunbathe. Shes fine very sleepy and wants cuddles all the time. Shes kept the collar on all night and ive taken it off today as im off work. The dressing is not bothering her. The vet said cage not necessary. Shes not jumping and im rorariong her from windowsill to bed. Ill need a baby sling at this rate!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/04/2018 14:44

Poor Daph! Do give her some cuddles from me.

How's Dolly?

EachandEveryone · 19/04/2018 17:10

Its bizarre they arent talking and Dolly has been going off with all the alley cats. I can just make put her bushy red tail amongst the car tyres and beer cans!! also shes discovering the greenery by the drain and making the most of me not calling her in every five minutes! Its like they are living two separate lifes. If it was going to happen to anyone id say Dolly shes much more street the other one is a homebody. It mustve happened in the flat!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/04/2018 17:19

She possibly smells funny to Dolly?

EachandEveryone · 19/04/2018 17:39

I dont know usually itsthe other way round as dolly goes more! Is it because shes lame and not the dominant one any more?

Weedsnseeds1 · 19/04/2018 19:06

She probably smells of vet!
Don't let her out with the cast on, she'll get a tan line Grin

EachandEveryone · 19/04/2018 19:57

Shes been very good slept on her favourite chair and is still asleep now. I hope its not going to be the full six weeks.

EachandEveryone · 20/04/2018 09:31
