New Battersea kittens have arrived with pictures.

Only been back 45 minutes. Kitten 1 already asleep on ds2 and kitten 2 still exploring. Grown up cats scratching at living room door.

Oh they are gorgeous! I so want a kitten (or even an older cat!) but it isn't practical right now.

Are they both identical! I've got identical black cats. I've had them nearly 3 years and am still the only one who can tell them apart, good luck!

Named Karl and Lenny by Battersea. Intended to change the names but now will probably keep them.

Lenny is a bit smaller than Karl and has quite a few white hairs on his back so we can tell them apart.

I quite like proper human names for cats.

The whole litter was named after characters in the Simpsons (Maggie was a lovely black and white longhair btw) Our older cats are Basil & Sybil (Portrait of Dorian Gray & yes I'm aware the spelling is different but I prefer 'Sybil') so we were thinking of further literary names - possibly Jeoffry and Hodge. Having got the kittens we've decided Karl and Lenny are suitably silly names so we'll stick with them.

They are now tired out after a mad half hour so are in a pile on the back of a chair.
