Cat’s and the rain - a word of advice (light hearted!)

So, when I first adopted Dcat a year ago I was advised that cats didn’t like getting wet. Mine seemed to not have got this memo and would come in soaking wet- so when he had been out in the rain I dried him with a towel so he wouldn’t get cold.
I didn’t think too much of it when he started to find me every time he’d been out in the rain ... fair enough I thought- I wouldn’t like to sit in a wet coat after coming inside either so I would give him a ‘dry’ with his towel....no problem.
Fast forward to tonight when it has been tipping down for 12 hours. In the space of three hours stupid cat has been out to sit in the rain 6 times! Each time he comes back in he runs up to me and winds his way around my legs/ leaps on me or generally rubs his hairy wet body on me expecting to be dried, If I hide, or don’t have a towel he howls like he’s been critically injured ( and I’m too soft to ignore it)! Locking the cat flap hasn’t helped as he’s enough of a brute to force his way through it again -and when he does he just sits in the rain until he’s absolutely soaking and then comes back in looking to be dried again . I’ve created a monster and I’m not sure what to do about it now but I’m hoping my story will save others 😂😂😂😂😂
