After nearly four years, so chuffed! 😀

Amazing! Is he/she a rescue cat? I've had my two young rescues for 2.5 months and can't imagine them ever becoming lap cats at this stage!

I rescued two cats who lived together previously. One cat became a lap cat straight away, the other took over two years.

It also took her two years to meow, she just used to squeak then one day she just spoke to me completely out of the blue. Best moment ever Smile

My two both meow (usually when I'm taking too long to prepare their food!) and the boy chirrups all the time. He also sat on my lap for a fleeting moment the other day, although he hasn't been up on the sofa with me since. It's so rewarding when timid cats have these little break-throughs!

No not a rescue, had her since 8 weeks. Still on her terms though, she has to come to me. I can’t pick her up and put her on my lap.

It took two years for fatty to become a lap cat. But well worth the wait. Snorg will sit on me in bed and spoons up to me with my arm round her. Which I just love. But she will never sit on my knee on the sofa.
