What is the best brand food for my kitten?

So we got a beautiful little kitten around 7 weeks ago. In the time she has been with us she has been on whiskas dry and wet food but from reading threads on here and doing some research it seems this isn't a great food brand at all.
When we took her for her first vet visit the vet did ask what food she was on and when I said Whiskas the vet did mention it wasn't the best brand of food but didn't
elaborate.
So can anyone reccommend what brands of food are the best nutritonally for our kitten? And will she be ok if I slowly faze out the whiskas? Should I just mix the new and old food over a few days so she doesn't get an upset stomach?
Sorry for all the questions, i'm very new to the whole cat owner thing!

We feed Lily’s Kitchen as recommended on here. We have been buying direct, but Waitrose Pet currently have it on offer. So I did a 6 month order. I find that the better quality pet foods work out the same as they don’t need as much.

Any grain free, high protein wet food and grain free dry food. Check that they are complete foods. Thrive, Nature's Manu, Bozita and Lily's Kitchen are good options for wet and have kitten varieties, Almo Nature or Lily's Kitchen good for dry. You probably won't find them in your nearest supermarket, look online.

I cannot possibly answer without seeing a picture of this little beaut! 😁

Orijen cat and kitten is the absolute best dried food available, pricey but the best bar none. As for wet, applaws kitten, is just either chicken, tuna or sardine pureed for little ones. I feed both these to my baby sphynx as they are the best.

Get signed up for Zooplus.

Mine like Bozita chicken chunks, Feringa wet and dry, and Sanabelle dry (last one a bit of a compromise but they love it and will move on to Sanabelle grain-free adult)

All a lot cheaper than Lily's Kitchen.

They are also obsessed with Cosmas Snackies which are cheaper than Thrive and a lot better for them than Dreamies.

FInally your kitten is a real heartbreaker Smile

Natures menu wet pouches and meowing heads dry for mine, it has high meat content and no fillers.
Your kitten is so cute by the way.
