Can I use baby wipes to clean my old cat

DCat is 15 and starting to show her age finally unfortunately.

I am going to take her to the vets at the weekend to get her checked over as she has started drooling. I have noticed that she is really not very clean.

I have a little brush and she loves it, but can I use baby wipes too, just to brush over her?

I wouldn't because of the chemicals in them...you don't want her licking them off her fur after. Have you got a spare face cloth that you could use with plain water?

You can get wet wipes for pets at pets at home that are safe for cats

Yep as pp said you can either use the sort of baby wipes that are just plain water, or get special cat ones.

You cat buy wipes especially for cats here I haven't tried them as my cat licks too much! Cats are awkward buggers aren't they? Grin

I didn't think of a slightly damp face cloth!!

I'll try that! Smile

I had to wash toothpaste off my kitten’s head yesterday (thanks to my toddler) and I used a huggies pure on him. He didn’t seem to mind it
