Anyone got an outdoor cat litter tray?

We have workmen coming for a week soon and the last time this happened the cats (who can go in and out of the house as much as they want every day) refused to come in the house until evenings when the noise and fuss was done each day.

It was the middle of summer so we put their litter tray outside under the garden table.

However these works are mid feb so likely wet and windy and maybe some snow.

Comfort wise its not too bad as they and next doors cats are very familiar with one another and often end up snoozing in either house (both neighbour and I happy with this). However I dont think (and certainly wouldnt assume) they will use neighbours litter tray.

I want to put something outside so they can go when they want but that will be reasonably weatherproof, however everything on amazon is mega bucks.

Anyone else have an outdoor cat litter tray or has any ideas?

My mum planted a herb garden. It was immediately adopted by their late Dcat as his litter tray. And that was that!

Yes my rose bed!

Cracking idea!

I also saw online a big lidded plastic storage tub with a hole cut in the side.

But I think a compost filled planter would work perfectly.
