We've had two very energetic 2 yo adopted cats who don't really want to go outside for about 6 weeks now. We've gone through about 1 rod a week so far, since they play rough and like chewing and generally fucking our shit up, the little sods darlings (chewed through 2 Mac chargers so far, DH was most unimpressed). So, wise Mumsnetters, is there such a things as a cat-proof cat rod or am I doomed to treading on splinters of wood or fibreglass every morning for the next 20 years?
They have a cat tree, loads of indoor space to run about in, multiple other forms of toys but the rods are their absolute favourite. Any other suggestions for entertaining them and/or stopping them ruining our expensive stuff most welcome
