It's shit when they die :(

My lovely boy died very unexpectedly last night and I'm just absolutely devastated. Haven't stopped crying all day. He's usually who I turn to for a cuddle when I'm upset, I've got no furry face to snuggle up against now Sad I feel so desperately sorry for him.

No point to this thread really, I just needed a moan Sad

Aww, the little cutie. Animals and humans both break your heart, but animals don't mean to.

So sorry for your loss. RIP dear puss. What a handsome chap, and a lucky boy to have been so well loved.

Ah thank you everyone, feeling a bit better this morning although we are missing his morning hurry up and get out of bed mews!
I have briefly thought of getting another cat/kitten but not sure I can handle the heartbreak when it's time to say goodbye. I still have a really old cat who I don't think has long left.

I might go and have a peek around the rescue centres at some point, see if anyone stands out Smile

Awwww I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my dear old kitty aged 18.5 last year and I still miss her terribly .
I think that they give you so much love and affection, so much joy when they are with us that it’s only right to be devastated when they’re gone. Give yourself time to grieve.

I’m so sorry, it’s such a shock when they go unexpectedly. I think it makes you feel cheated.

Go easy on yourself and ensure you have plenty of time to grieve. Hugs for you and rest in peace beautiful boy. 💐

I'm so sorry. I had to have CandleCat1 put down about 8 weeks ago and it broke me. It was utterly unexpected. I went to the vet with him and left without him. CandleCat2 is still grieving, and so am I. It does get easier with time, but the house does seem empty without pussy paws in it.
