DD and I did our family volunteering/cat cuddling at CP today and fell in love with a fab young fella.
He's not quite a year old, very friendly and playful. I honestly thought we would get a slightly older cat but hey.
We're all good to go, DP will meet him on Saturday and we can collect him!
Attempts at photos failed so I will try again once he's home.

Fantastic. I look forward to hearing all about him!

You must be so excited about him coming home.

I honestly thought we would get a slightly older cat but hey.
We were also planning to adopt an older cat and ended up with a one year old because she was right for us.

Yes looking forward to it, am hoping he doesn't want to play at 3am! I've not had such a young cat since I was a child.
We just need to get him food and toys, DD is looking forward to playing with him. I'm at CP tomorrow so will attempt photos again-if he stays still!

That's lovely. Another kitty going home.

That's such lovely news. I remember reading about your previous cat, and we had to say goodbye to our lovely girl at around the same time as you.

Our rescue cat came to us just before Christmas, and it's been lovely having a cat in the house again. I did feel a bit strange at first- almost disloyal to our last cat, as if we were trying to replace her, but things settled down quickly as the new one made herself at home.

I'd forgotten just how much energy younger cats have - enjoy the hours of toy dangling and football! (Ours likes conkers and corks for that)
