How to keep the cats off the Christmas tree (pic)

This is what my kittens have done to my tree in December Sad

Redoing it now as I have visitors tomorrow. Really don't want to come down to it looking a sorry state tomorrow. Any tips to keep them off it? Google suggests lemon juice. Or shall I just shut them in a room with their litter trays and food?

Sorry but that really made me laugh they must have been swinging off the star! I think shut the door so they can't get to the tree.

Sorry to tell you this but there's a whole thread about cats in Christmas trees, it seems some cats just love to climb a tree! Not sure there's much you can do to stop them other than shutting them out of the room.

Ours sits in the corner and we barricade all round the bottom of it with gifts, but in tall gift bags so there's no access to the bottom of the tree.

I came on here hoping to see a cat in your tree 🌲😑

Sorry, bit that made me laugh! Not sure there's much you can do as a deterrent. Spray it with lemon or orange maybe?

Nothing helpful to say but those are very funny photos!

Oh no! Tree in a cage next year?

This made me laugh out loud too. Which i’m Thankful for because I’m having a rubbish day. That’s adorable! Also I cannot help you. 🤣

So funny. Interestingly, our cats don't touch the Christmas tree or the decorations. When one was a kitten he did go up through it (and a few baubles got broken) but now they just look at it, move on and get on with their ADLs!

You can try and keep them away...
