Is there one particular toy your cat is obsessed with?

Missy cannot get enough of this thing. Rather than chasing it at the end of a wand, she likes to carry it around in her mouth and take it to bed with her.

Dione Grin oh gosh. Can you tie them back with ribbons or use a water pistol if your cat starts?

My cat started attacking the armchairs at the neighbours recently with claw needling. I was saying 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry' and detaching her then she'd do it again a minute later

A cardboard box. Any cardboard box.

But Mousie is his true love 💖.

Ribbon. Any form of dangling ribbon

Whatsthisabout · 19/12/2017 18:42

Ours loves a very similar balding mousie yes. We find it in his water bowl every morning. Not quite sure why.

Perhaps he's giving it a bath?

This thing. I can't even remember what it was, but it used to be attached to a stick. She's had it for 5 of her 6 years and always goes back to it when she's had enough of other toys.

Feather on a stick thing and his bouncy ball, which he likes me to throw.
He also plays with a bit of plastic, from a bottle top, he "found" it himself and will play with it for ages, carrying from one place to another. God knows why, maybe something to do with how it moves.

Checklist · 19/12/2017 21:36

Squishy balls! My guess is that they feel like prey in the mouth! We hear them playing football with them all night, while emitting pathetic squeaks! The cats that is, not the balls!

Da bird arrived today. It's safe to say that it's a hit.

Smurf toys from mc Donald's! He dunks them
In the water bowl usually and I find them floating face down!

Conkers. Loves a bit of spontaneous conker football.

MaudesMum · 21/12/2017 08:19

For my kitten, its either a dried up leaf or one of my ear-rings (which were being left all over the house until I hid them).

With3catsintheyard · 28/12/2017 22:25

All mine like the feather on a stick toy and small balls.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 28/12/2017 22:30

Anything with feathers attached.

I once had a mouse you for her that turned out to be covered in real fur, I assume rabbit. She snogged it, making whimpering noises for about 2 years before it gave up. I've never found a replacement.

Thehogfather · 28/12/2017 22:38

Feather on a stick, but quite often whatever you are trying to use/ do. Currently Xmas tree. Human feet are fun too. Plays with almost anything.

All time favourite is a cuddly toy that is almost as big as her. Loves hunting and killing it, takes it in whatever box/ bag she has currently claimed, and often takes it to bed.

The other thinks she's mad, and looks at us like we're mad if we offer to play.

TheSecondOfHerName · 28/12/2017 22:50

She has now completely demolished two of the red fish toys pictured in the OP.
Da bird, which she also loves, seems to be a bit more durable.

She still does the thing where she carries it off somewhere in her mouth (dragging the thread and wand behind her). DS3 is working on training her to drop the toy from her jaws on his verbal command, which is keeping both of them entertained. 😄

Yes my younger cats loves her lazer mouse and also plays fetch with hairbands to the extent she will bring it back to you and waits for it to be thrown

CheekyFuckersAreEntertaining · 30/12/2017 00:49

Pipe cleaners. She's obsessed with them.

Cat toys, cat treats and even catnip are ignored completely.

We also have to keep any large cardboard boxes for her.

BluebellTheDonkey · 30/12/2017 07:21

Girl cat loves small pellets of wood litter, small bits of lego and emery boards. She is a strange one. She bats them around with her paws on our wooden floor, and is a very happy cat!
Boy cat loves those foam balls that Checklist posted, he likes us to roll them then he chases them across the floor.

HardAsSnails · 30/12/2017 09:11

Mine's a chewer more than a chaser so he likes anything he can bite bits off of (noses, ears, eyes etc) and is just about to start on his third Yeowww Pollock fish.

TheSecondOfHerName · 30/12/2017 19:49

She's discovered a new favourite toy...
