I don’t think he loves me any more!

We got home from holiday today and I gave Harry a cuddle only to smell of perfume that’s not mine! He’s obviously been allowing his cat sitter to have cuddles. To add injury to insult he stuck a claw in my head when I cuddled him!

He’s gone off me hasn’t he?

Shock

He's probably doing it to remind you who's boss.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 09/12/2017 21:26

And to really rub it in he’s refusing to eat his dinner, despite eating everything that was put in front of him last week. I really know my place now!

Tell him Fatty and Snorg are unimpressed by his disloyalty to you!

This is what my cat's like the first day I get back from being away. Just give her space and let her come to you.

Tinselistacky · 09/12/2017 21:33

I bet she poos in your room tonight!! My dm had a beautiful sleek cat called Leroy who came and pooed at your feet if you had been out too long!! Cat flap and bowls of food available but if no scintillating conversation then poo on you!! Just about!!

cecinestpasunepipe · 09/12/2017 21:40

One of my cats poos on the spare bed if I have guests, so embarrassing. Also, when I prepare to go on, and when I return from holiday, even though my friend stays at my place to feed and fuss them. Doesn't do it while I'm actually away though, she saves it especially for me.

joangray38 · 09/12/2017 21:46

I once got sacked from cat sitting when I was a student as the cat hadn't pined for his owner but pined for me when I went home (lived in so was at the cat's beck and call) Owner was jealous!! Cats can be self centred tarts.

Toddlerteaplease · 09/12/2017 22:07

Mine are super affectionate when they've come home for the cattery. I expected them to sulk but they don't. One of my friends cats poos in the bathroom if he goes away. But he suspects its because his secretary didn't clean the litter tray properly!

Weedsnseeds1 · 10/12/2017 00:59

Offer him some lik-e-liks.
He'll follow you around, whining pathetically and throwing himself on the floor in front of your feet.
Why did I buy them? He's ruined, utterly ruined....

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 11/12/2017 21:23

It just got better after that! He refused to eat the food I put down for him (he’d eaten everything all week) and then made a big thing of playing with the new toy he’d been given by the cat sitter. It’s a good job she’s lovely!

During the night he kept coming in and waking us up. Poor DH has sciatica and thought his leg was paralysed until he realised there was 5.5kg of cat asleep on his ankle!

I think Harry has forgiven me now though...

I don’t think he loves me any more!

Awww he looks so smug!

overnightangel · 11/12/2017 23:01

@Toddlerteaplease
Smug was the very word I thought of at seeing that picture!!

I think we all know who the boss is in that house Grin

What a beauty he is though!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 12/12/2017 20:44

He can do pompous as well as smug!

I don’t think he loves me any more!
