He kept going on about "typical Bengal behaviour" & "of course it's a hybrid so part wild" like I don't know his providence.

He needs a dental.

They want to crush cage him. Fine.
Sedate for blood tests. Fine.

I'm worried they'll be rough with him when transferring him from carrier to crush cage.

I'm worried they'll use force to transfer him to his carrier after he's recovered from ga.

Realistically what can I do?.

What really pisses me off is that we had three gorgeous Persians at that practice 30 years ago, beautiful but we never had a visit that didn't need a vet nurse to hold them down. They scratched & bit every vet they could. My bengals never scratched or bit a vet but tonight's seemed very prejudiced against the breed .

I've already decided to camp out in the car park when it's done. Just in case I hear him. I have excellent hearing so I'll hear him.

Ask them to lend you a crush cage so you can put him straight in and bring him in that.

And after the ga they will put him still drowsy into his carrier to recover (well that's what we do with ferals) so no man-handling is required.

Persians that scratch and bite? Mine turn into jelly at the vets and will allow anything! Didn't think they had it in them to be vicious, way to dopey!

All of ours went mental at the vets but asbo drops to his belly & growls. He's never bitten or scratched them.

Do you think that's standard vetinary practice everywhere tcn? I'm the only one who can handle him when he's stressed.

Fluffy I'm afraid I don't know if that's standard everywhere. However the whole point of crush cages (and all the other feral handling equipment) is to avoid having to handle the cat in question, while awake, at all. So the chances are, if they are used to using crush cages, they will also use the other normal feral handling techniques.
