Two years ago this week we brought our beautiful baby Kenneth home. We had to say goodbye in June and it still hurts. My FB memories this week are all pictures of Ken. I miss him.

We lost our beautiful boy to HCM at just seven months old. All our other pets had lived to old age, devastating to lose such a wonderful character so young. Still sorely missed.

We lost our beautiful boy this week. I can't describe the pain.

I'm usually a horrible cynic about things like the Rainbow Bridge but it's keeping me going just now, even if he is only waiting for his brother, currently stuffing his face with Dreamies in the kitchen.

We lost the Lion in late July aged 15. He was outrageously vile but we loved him anyway (while swearing at the smell/shit/slimy ginger furballs/dribbley kisses).

We lost Humphrey in April. Just typing this has me fighting the tears. He was the grumpiest guy but probably the best cat ever.

These are my beautiful fur babies who had to be pts within 3 days of each other 4 years ago.

Jenson - the diddy black chap, was less than a year old when he developed some very odd symptoms. After 24 hours in the vets, they discovered he had antifreeze poisoning. After a further 72 hours of treatment which failed to work, on the advice of the vets we had no other choice but to let him go. I was cuddling him all through the process and he went so quickly and peacefully. It broke my heart but I knew I had to make the best choice for him.

3 days later and Freya (the sassy lass with the boa) started staggering around and she was immediately rushed to the vet. An hour later and we were devastated to discover that she too had antifreeze in her system!!! After discussing the situation and again on professional advice, we arranged for her to be pts too.

They were inseparable in life and we believe that they both got poisoned at the same time. We live in a mostly retired couples area and I really struggle to think any of our neighbours did this deliberately. We think that someone had done some car maintenance and had spilled some antifreeze that hadn't been cleaned up.

It was the most heartbreaking week of my life and I still weep at the memory.

My only consolation is that they are together and I so hope to see them again over the rainbow bridge!
