As we rent. Our landlord is ok for us to have pets but I don't see myself asking him to write a letter asking him that he is ok for us to have a cat.

I do hope you're in London. We (Celia Hammonds) are absolutely full and turning cats away. We need homes desperately. We certainly don't ask for letters from LLs. All charities will have different rules.

And if you need a letter they are exceptionally easy to fake!!
