Best cat proof fencing and making new garden cat friendly

We’re moving soon, new house has a good size garden as ours don’t roam too far we thought we’d cat proof it and make it a nice place for them to enjoy.

So many companies to choose from does anyone have any recommendations? Also what sort of things should we put in the garden. A toilet area obviously what else? Shady area? Cat chalet?

Things to climb? Someone posted a while ago to beautiful natural cat trees.

Places to hide. Places to dig.

Are you any good at DIY? DH cat proofed our garden and saved us a fortune. He got the ideas from Protect a Pet and Securacat and bought the metal for the brackets from a local company and the netting from a garden centre.

We’ve got a flower bed for digging and Harry uses the bbq and garden furniture for hiding under. We haven’t put in anything for climbing as we try to discourage that - he’s not very steady at height and we don’t want him having an accident!
