Don't know what to do here, Big cat seems pretty accepting @thecatneuterer, what should I do for the best.

He has raggedy ears, a big wide face and is skinny as fuck, but seems friendly.

I think probably a tom that was once domesticated, not neutered but has been cast out for whatever reason.

Have left the back door open and he and Big cat are sniffing each-other.

I love the way Big Cat has just palled up with Uncle Monty. Look who I've brought for dinner, Mum.

I think animals must see me and clearly peg me as a soft-hearted mug.

Do you remember the Mabli, stray pregnant dog thread?

That was me.

He's eating some roast lamb and has quite quickly noticed we have a fire burning in the dining room.

Better photo, he's a scrappy boy.

Very sweet though.

Oh Mabli!! Smile Do you ever hear how she (and her gazillions of offspring) are getting on?

They're very well, Mabli found a lovely home eventually.

We had Mungo, one of her pups for a while but we were going through a bugger of a time with DD who is autistic so he was rehomed through Hounds First to a fab new family.

Monty has found a space on the rug in front ofbthe fire...

We had a cat that turned up out of the blue, scrawny black cat with green eyes (proper witches cat) I was only a teenager at the time. We started feeding him and called him Bobby. My dad said he wasn't to come in, so built him a little house at the back door, we lined it with cushions and blankets and fed him on the top of the box. He used it for about 3 months, then he got poorly and didn't leave the box for 3 days. We took him to the vet who diagnosed cat flu, 50/50 chance of survival. Mum put her foot down then, and said he was coming inside. He spent days curled up in a chair, mainly sleeping. Miraculously he survived and was with us for another 14 years, He blossomed into the most gorgeous cat, with the glossiest black fur, he was super handsom, our elderly neighbour used to say he was a very regal cat and the vet once remarked he had known which family to chose.

Can you sneakily deflea him do you think? Does big cat use a tray?

ElephantAndBird · 15/10/2017 20:50

I think you have been Chosen.

--Wish this would happen to me!

I love the plan of welcomed, fed, balls chopped off. Grin

ILikeyourHairyHands · 15/10/2017 20:51

Big cat does use a tray.

I don't have any spare flea stuff at the moment, but I could get some from the vet and stealth dose him in the week.

He seems to be enjoying a bit of Thomas Tallis in front of the fire.

And he's the most gentle car I've ever met, I don't think he's cut out for the life of a street tom.

Ah this is lovely. And such a welcome relief after the recent poster who wanted to either abandon her visiting tom in the middle of nowhere or have him put down.

He has certainly landed on his paws.

Monty enjoying a bit of love from DD

Gorgeous boy.

EachandEveryone · 15/10/2017 21:31

Omg what are you going to do when you all go to bed?? How long does it take to litter train? It will break your heart to put him outside. I wonder what his story is bless him. You are very good. I feed a ginger boy but I would be mortified if he came inside. My girls would not welcome him that’s for sure!!!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 15/10/2017 21:31

I put a blanket down, it took him about five seconds to snuggle up in it.

I don't know, I may keep himin the dining room, he has access to a litter tray as the cellar door is in there and that's where Big's littler tray is.

Loving all the stories of found owners.

Oh god you are Halloween ready! Is he a Black all the way through? He’s well and truely made himself at home how gorgeous.

EachandEveryone · 15/10/2017 21:36

He might copy the big boy then. Are you able to take him in tomorrow?

ILikeyourHairyHands · 15/10/2017 21:43

They are pumpkins from our allotment! I like to bring a bit of Autumn into the house.

He has a little white patch under his chin. And the largest green/yellow eyes I've ever seen.

Captain Bigley is black all over and is being ridiculously calm about the interloper.

Big's a friendly chap though, be used to have a cat pal after his sister died and they would sit next to eachother in the garden in a very companionable way.

Sadly we moved and he's been alone for a while so I can't help feeling he's been telling his chum where to go for the good stuff.
