Our cat has been missing now for a few days. We are out looking every night. I just can't bear the thought of never seeing him again.

Still no sign of the panther
We miss him so very much
We can share stories and memories now without crying which although good makes me feel immensely guilty and then weepy again Sad

We are getting a little cat this weekend
Not to replace (nothing ever coukd) but to help fill the big hole left by him

We hope it will be a best friend for him when he comes back

A bit of happiness amongst the heartache. Good luck with the new puss. And crossing my fingers and toes that your boy strolls back through the door one day soon.

autumnboys · 19/10/2017 22:37

Our last cat was missing for 2.5 months once & turned up safe & sound. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Flowers

Still no sign
Our new addition to the family has been giving me a lot of hugs almost as though she knows

So sad

Oh Lavendar she's gorgeous Smile

Hi lavender

How is the new cat settling in? And any news of old cat?

Ours has been missing 2 weeks today and hopes are fading. We're thinking of looking for another one in another week or 2. Was it hard or has it made it easier to move on?

We only had ours for 6 weeks before we lost her. I'm terrified we'll lose the next one too Sad

LavenderDoll · 28/10/2017 17:44

Hiya Donald
She's lovely. It's definitely helped the DC to move on
I found it very hard initially and had to stop myself comparing and once I managed that it's been great
I miss him so much
It's been a month
It makes me so sad

Thanks lavender. I think we will go next weekend. There's a cat-shaped hole in our house ☹

LavenderDoll · 28/10/2017 22:01

I know exactly what you mean
Our house just felt so empty and I missed having a little companion
I still miss our boy but she is a little character and is very loving
It's so hard - thinking of you

Just an update
Thanks to everyone who was lovely and kind
Our beautiful boy still hasn't returned home. We try to go out looking once a week but I've resigned myself to the fact he may never come home

Me too.. so sorry Lavender Sad

Myddognearlyatethedeliveryman · 06/02/2018 17:14

SO sorry. The not knowing is awful. But we had a cat that went missing for 6 months. Don't give up hope op.

Want2beme · 06/02/2018 20:37

So sorry to hear this Lavender Flowers

timtam23 · 06/02/2018 23:26

So sorry. Sometimes they do return after a very long time when all hope seems to have gone. But the "not knowing" is very hard

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 07/02/2018 07:07

I’m so sorry Lavender Flowers

LavenderDoll · 08/02/2018 08:01

Thank you.
He was a beautiful friendly boy. I like to think that he is happy and loved somewhere. He deserves nothing but love and happiness after his rocky start in life.
