Cat has just vomited three times in the past two hours

What do I do? It's late at night and my kitty has its vomited three times (it's more like six or seven actual vomit patches but in three sittings)

First vomit was usual cat sick food vomit. Second one was bile and a hairball third was just bile.

Not sure what to do with her?

If it is a one off, she might have eaten something like plastic or a bug.

If it happens again (day 2), look at her diet. Some cats have an issue with fillers/grains etc. My cat was doing this and we put him on wet food only for 4-5 days and then changed his dry food to a different one. It stopped right away.

How does she seem in herself Honey? It could just be that she was trying to shift the fur ball and either hasn't quite shifted it all yet or is on a bit of a vomiting cycle now until everything's calmed down after shifting it. Does that make sense? If she seems unwell or is otherwise not herself then I might be a bit more worried but if not I would just keep an eye on her over the weekend. Hope she's ok Flowers

Starve her for a few hours until she stops being sick and is hungry ... then feed bland food ( cooked chicken breast or white fish) for a day, longer if she's off colour, then gradually add in either her normal food or a grain free food if she's a bit sensitive - Butchers classic is a good cheap wet food (cans) or something like Applaws dry food (also grain free).

It could just have been the hairball irritating her though ... you can get dry food especially to avoid hairball - Canin Royal?

She has food for hair balls already.

She seems fine though goes all grumpy after each vomit. Like she's embarrassed. Ten minutes later she's back on my lap for a fuss and a cuddle though.

Going to starve her till tomorrow and see how she is then.

Starving is no longer advised particularly for cats. If she has another vomit she should be seen by a vet, hair balls should only lead to a single vomit anything more is likely to be a problem.

My cat always followed a hairball vomit with a biley mucosy vomit. If she does it again I'd get her to a very but as a one (three) off I'd say not much to worry about.

One of mine did that a couple of weeks ago. He's very nervous and occasionally bolts his food & throws up almost straight after so, I didn't worry but just kept an eye on him for the next couple of days. It was only his second hairball since I've had them, 16 months now. As far as I can tell, not a single Girlcat hairball as yet!

She hasn't thrown up again since last night so hoping it was just a hairball.
