He's been quiet since I came home from work and hasn't eaten his tea. We've had nice strokes but no purrs.

They go quiet & stop eating.

Sometimes the inner eyelid can be seen across the inner corner of the eye when they are off-colour.

dementedpixie · 23/08/2017 22:06

Oh dear he looks a bit sorry for himself

Vinorosso74 · 23/08/2017 22:08

Yep ours stops eating, goes quiet and isn't her usual sociable self.
Hope he's back to himself soon.

Sunnydaysrock · 23/08/2017 22:09

If he hasn't eaten or, more importantly, drunk any water by the morning I would be contacting the vets. Cats go downhill fast if they don't eat or drink. Hope he's ok op.

He's gorgeous. Agree they go quiet and withdrawn and stop eating. But don't panic yet. He may pick up tomorrow. No chance he has got any food from anywhere else? That would account for lack of appetite, and turn his quietness into sleepy fullness.

Mine went quiet and hadn't moved from 6.30 am when I went to work, to 8pm when I came home. Picked her up and she cried. She was critically ill but survived.

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/08/2017 22:28

I went into the kitchen and he ran after me miaowing. Gave him some chicken which he has hoovered up. Now licking his chops and looking at me expectantly for some more. Big old fraud!
