New kittens first night, do they tend to sleep all night?

Sorry for all the silly questions, I'm feeling all at sea with this pet owning business! My new 12 weeks kittens are under the sofa, either hiding or asleep. They haven't cried since they arrived this afternoon, and have eaten a meal at around half five. Will they now stay under the sofa until the morning? Do kittens 'sleep through' ? Should I leave more food out in case they are hungry at night? They will be shut in the back rooms (open plan kitchen, dining room and study with sofa). Is it ok to leave them? I've made it as safe and cosy as possible.

I would definitely make sure they have food, water & a litter tray available all night. If they are a little anxious & settling in, they may well wait until the house is completely quiet before venturing out to explore properly - my adult rescues did this, only reason I knew they still existed the first couple of days was the food & water vanishing, and eventually the litter tray being used, during the night.

Cat's are naturally crepuscular, i.e. mostly active at dawn & dusk. In my babies case that meant charging round the house at about 5am today sounding like baby hippos. Kittens are likely to have bursts of intense activity followed by sleep off & on all day & evening.
