Not ideal but if space is tight and it's your only option there's not a lot else you can do apart from keep the area very very clean. Is the tray at least hooded?

I wouldn't eat my dinner in the bathroom, so you shouldn't expect your cat to.

I am absolutely with you.
DH doesn't agree, he doesn't think they care. I do. I don't think they should have their trays by their food.

They don't like it. If you want to encourage good toilet behavior make the litter tray as attractive as possible. And have 1 per cat.

Why is he insisting?
