Dolly hasnt been sick. Not thst i can see anyway. Her poo is runny but at least its in the tray. Part of me thinks its those wipes I was cleaning her bum with. I didnt realing the long hair would trap it so much amd i did give her a good rub down, several times.

Vinorosso74 · 01/10/2017 12:14

So myself and neighbour went to speak to other neighbour that we had to put ladder over and that DP went in their garden (polite and apparently they have cctv). Good job they weren't there as I think tgey wouldn have let their happy dog have her or thrown her out the garden. Arseholes.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/10/2017 12:16

Goodness Vino - there's a story there - I don' understand what they said or why you ended up thinking they were arseholes?

Vinorosso74 · 01/10/2017 12:36

They basically laughed and said they hate cats and he would have kicked "it" or something. Then said had they been there they would let their dog have her (yappy pomerian) or he would have chucked her over their fence which is very high. Their whole manner was just horrible. Am scared to let her out unsupervised in case she gets stuck there again.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/10/2017 12:41

That's horrible. I'm so sorry you have such awful neighbours. Why are people so horrible? And especially about cats. I sincerely hope that they are utterly self-sufficient and never need your or your other neighbour's help any day because they deserve to be told to go and shove it.

Vinorosso74 · 01/10/2017 12:56

Am quite upset by it. Vinocat is so gentle and fragile. Our immediate neighbours are lovely. We have medical students on one side and they have passed her over the fence a few times when she refuses to come home for dinner and medication.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/10/2017 13:21

I'm not surprised. It was a thoroughly nasty reaction completely devoid of empathy, consideration or the basic elements of humanity - the sort of reaction that when you get it makes you understand why the world is such a violent, uncaring fucked up place. I despair for humanity sometimes I really do.

caoraich · 01/10/2017 16:46

Oh that's so horrible vino Sad
I really don't get how people can be so unpleasant about animals. Could you cat-proof the tops of your fences to stop her going over? It could maybe be DIY-ed so not too pricey.

Hugs for you and chin scratches for vinocat

Vinorosso74 · 01/10/2017 17:10

Thank you. I have calmed down now not sure how much of it was bravado but I don't particularly like the people. They seem very selfish. Most other people in the street are fine not best buddies with them but are polite etc.
Unfortunately the fencing/walls we have can't really be cat proofed. At least with colder weather she is less likely to want to be out.

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 17:44

Lovely neighbours you have vino Hmm
My neighbours don't even mind when my cat insists on sitting on the velux window if their brand new kitchen extension as apparently their kids find the sight of his bum, displayed from above, hilarious!

Vinorosso74 · 01/10/2017 18:00

Ours likes to sit atop our extension, good vantage point for her but yes we get the bum view!
As I say next door on both sides are upstairs are nice and happy to see her just them.

TheCatOfAthenry · 01/10/2017 18:59

Cookie popped out into the garden today and enjoyed it.

Biscuit, on the other hand, was terrified by the whole ordeal and has been very clingy since. Hmm

Allergictoironing · 01/10/2017 19:39

Heh all these cats having adventures! After yesterday morning's panic, mine have spent virtually the entire day snoozing on my bed curled round each other - after Boycat had his morning cuddles that is.

TheCatOfAthenry · 01/10/2017 22:08

Ready for my close-up...

I trod on mine this morning, as he'd decided to lurk in the dark on the landing. He shot downstairs, wailing, and I went back to bed. After about 10 minutes, the guilt got too much for me and I decided to get up, find him and apologise. I swung my legs out if bed and...... booted him in the face as he'd chosen that moment to jump back into the bed.
I feel awful and that face isn't helping!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/10/2017 12:32

ZOMG that FACE!! WHY am I being persecuted? I'm a GOOD kitty! What have I done wrong? :(

Ollivander84 · 02/10/2017 12:34

Weeds - if it helps, I have flea treated Ollie and he's looking at me like I'm the creature from hell Hmm
I've also trodden on him before and shut his tail in a window Blush

I think I've bean cautiously forgiven, after half a day of the "don't beat me" scuttle whenever he saw me...

caoraich · 02/10/2017 21:01

"I ate a spider and it was GROSS!"

Weedsnseeds1 · 02/10/2017 21:10

Obviously a discerning cat caoraich most of them are quite partial to the odd spider, fly or daddy long legs!

TheCatOfAthenry · 03/10/2017 05:03

The two smaller foster kittens have just started to purr in response to rubs in the last 24 hours.

They can't stay in the bath anymore because they can get out but not back in.

Ducky has even started rolling over so I can rub her floofy tummy. And she allows it for long periods with no scratches!

I'm a proud servant today.

EachandEveryone · 03/10/2017 07:27

Aw that's fab.

I'm going to
Have to take Dolly to the vet. She's puking every night. It's hours after eating and it's food. Bloody hell. I have an exam today. All day.

TheCatOfAthenry · 03/10/2017 11:17

Poor Dolly! Give her hugs from us and our 5 cats.
