Struggling to find a long haired cat to rehome!

Argh!!! As the title says, you would not believe how hard it is to find a long haired cat to rehome, within a 50 mile radius of Rugby!

Over the past few months, I've been checking the RSPCA, local cat rescue, local pedigree cat rescue and still nothing!

We have children, but apart from that, are perfect cat family material!

Anyone know anywhere else I should be looking? Definitely want to rescue and not buy!

Cats Protection? The centre I'm at get a few through (more than 50 miles from Rugby sadly). Try this website too www.catchat.org

Try the specific breed rescues too, the ragdoll rescue and persian rescue are good. You may also want to try looking at the websites of (good) breeders, as they often advertise for a family home and some spoiling for their breeding queens when they retire.

Not sure if it's too far away, but there's the Blue Cross at Burford. They've got one described as long haired and a couple as semi-long haired at the moment.

Have you had a look on Facebook? Rugby Cats Protection have a page on there.

Thanks all, some good avenues to explore. Ive liked a load on Facebook but unfortunately Cats protection won't let us rehome with DC under 5. RSPCA are happy to though , which I find odd, but there you go.
The search continues....

That is odd with CP. My one will let you adopt with young children (obviously done on a cat by cat basis); can understand with kittens but adult cats?

St Francis are brilliant, I got my pair from there and I know that they have some long haired cats in. Only problem is that they are near Ripon. What about Rushden Persian rescue. Don't know anything about them. If you went to SF I'd happily pick a cat up for you. But I'm not sure she'd rehome without you picking up in person.

I'd gladly come and do a home check if they wanted me to though. I only live in the East Midlands.
