Cat food help

We've had our 3 month old kitten for a few weeks now and she is generally happy and healthy, however she keeps having loose to liquid poo. We initially had her on wet pouches but the meat content is crap (4% or something!). She seems to drink pretty well so switched to dry (Gocat kitten) but she still has these awful poos.

Vet is happy she's healthy and she's been treated for parasites. Vet suggested feeding just cooked chicken for a few days and giving a probiotic which does seem to have helped.

Now what should we feed her going forward? I was thinking of switching to a slightly better dry food (local supermarket has Iams) and maybe giving her so cooked chicken or turkey mince for variety? She loved the chicken. She also loves a bit of scrambled egg. Does this sound like a reasonable diet?

Did the vet actually test for parasites? There are many infectious causes of diarrhoea in kittens (giardia, coronavirus, tritrichomonas....) that would be worth ruling out/treating before you start diet trials Smile

Sorry to jump on this late. We recently got a cat and she had liquid poo for the first week or so and seemed not too healthy. We tried her on some different foods and by far the best one is LIDL's dry box of cat food in the poultry flavours (not fish). No problems since giving her that and she seems to like it a lot! X
