Not a cat story, but I once had to give my sister's dog a shower whilst babysitting. She's a long haired dog, and my attempts to wipe off the offending poop with baby wipes were fruitless and I had to stop myself retching. I'm not bad with poop, but the smell was awful. Poor dog didn't seem to mind her impromptu shower though.
