A word of warning about spot on treatments...

...they wreck leather sofas! We put Advocate on Harry on Wednesday night and yesterday I noticed the leather looked had a white scuffed patch. DH phoned the sofa insurance company and the first thing they asked was whether we had pets and, if so, did we use a spot on flea treatment? We've got to send pictures and they will assess it, but they might not cover it.

It wouldn't be so bad but we've only had they sofa since November!

Bloody hell! We just switched to Advocate from trusty Stronghold due to skinny Vinocat wavering under the weight for Stronghold, will keep her off furniture in future (yeah right)

Thanks. I've got a new leather sofa, and was going to do spot on this week.

We're going to carry on using it but put sheets over the sofa the night we do it. I can't believe this is the first time in over 9 years that this has happened, we must have just got lucky in the past!

You can buy leather dyes online. Is it a common colour?.
