So my DPs have been visiting and we've been thoroughly neglected by the cats who slept on my dad's head and my mum's feet, sat on their laps and purred. Now they've left the cats have been rolling around the spare bed! Feel quite left out.

They were also helping me brush my teeth

Someone on here posted here where you can buy the similar mesh on the roll and make your own, if you have odd sized windows..hope they see this and repost

I can't cut in a straight line so I'm no good. I just rang them with my measurements. I've left the window open and I'm at work let's hope they are still in when I get home

Look on the bright side. There have been posters here having near apoplexy at the thought of their cats being unhappy while they were on holiday.

Didn't stop DP and I stomping around like toddlers saying "But they're OUR cats!!" indignantly, though!

Imagine if you had to find a home (temporarily) for a cat like Newboy though. After two weeks, he's only just learning to tolerate the Creature from the Black Lagoon (Me). You'd not have a decent holiday ever.

Ah his eye on the right as you look at the pic is one he's just had conjunctivitis in so a bit squinty! And yes, he often won't eat before cuddles

there isn't much choice. If you don't pick her up, she claws her way up to your shoulder. Much less blood drawn if I scoop her up

My friends littkebone has bounced back from her two spayings!

Babycat does that Ollivander although I am hoping he'll grow out of it! He's starting to go for little supervise trips outside and they are hissing at and antagonising each other hopefully fairly playfully.... I accidentally left them not separate in the house when I popped out today - no blood was shed at least that I've found yet

God that reminded me there was a fire a few doors down from our vet and cattery two years ago. It started in a refrigeration store. Luckily all was ok but they started getting cats in carriers ready to evacuate.

It sounds as if there's nothing you can deal with individually. They're still clearing out 'pockets of fire', I think. Stay at work and keep in touch with the situation by local radio. They're reducing the cordon hourly - talking about 'several hours' before they can let people back.

(Note - I don't know how recent that report was.)
