The worlds most tolerant cat?

I was thinking tonight having read about some cats being overstimulated when stroked and then clawing/biting
Ollie has sat all night with me going
"I stroke your armpits!"
"I blow raspberries on your tummy!"
"I clip your long claw!" (He offers his paw to have them done)

Literally you can fuss and pet and bear hug him all day and all he does is purr or blink at you Grin I accidentally poked him right in the ear and he just blinked
Stable cat likes being fussed but will then smack you around the face to say "enough now lowly human"

Really, your cat is lacking boundaries. An affection pest.

Ollie is a litter tray legend - he's wonderful!
Crazycat has got a bit less affectionate since she goes outside. But if she's in she's the feline shadow wanting attention and nose rubs and the climb all over you. I was plaiting my hair the other day (so both hands on my head) and she was squeezing thru the gap onto my shoulders and through the other arm back onto my chest for nose rubs. And it is too hot for cuddles!!!

My black cat, Radley, was wonderful. He was a terrible rake, so out on the ran-dan all the time, but he slept with me (hated when XH was home, as Radley thought that was his side of the bed!) and when I was depressed, he would gently waken me from nightmares by patting my cheek gently with his paw and purring in my ear. XH never noticed the nightmares. Radley would also sleep around my head on the pillow, which made for some hot nights! He was run down about a year after I got him and I still miss him a lot.

Love this post OPand for some reason it really amused me! I have just spent the last half hour saying "I tickle your armpits" whilst stroking the cats armpits ( I've never done this before 😂😂😂) . He just gives me a 'WTF?' look but keeps coming back for more so he is obviously also a rather tolerant cat!

Toddlerteaplease · 30/05/2017 19:34

If I never post again it's because I tried to tickle the girls armpits and didn't live to tell the tale. Grin

Update- I seem to have created a monster- bloody cat keeps coming up to me and meowing until I 'tickle his armpits' 😂😂😂 He only lets me do this whilst he is stood up, I'd be risking my life if I tried to stroke him while he was in his 'relaxed lying down' pose ! Stupid cat but I love him 😂

Ski37 · 30/05/2017 19:43

Toddlerteaplease - good luck 😂😂😂

Ollie reminds me of my idiot PicklePig, although Ollie isn't an idiot. He's marvellous.
PicklePig will put up with just about anything. He too enjoys being spun around on a wood floor and it's impossible for me to sit or lie down without him draping himself all over me.
I love overly affectionate cats, even if I do grumble at him when he winds round my feet when I'm trying to walk downstairs and drapes his hot furry body round my neck when I'm lying in bed.
This is the sight that greets me most mornings. He's practically tapping his watch and saying 'breakfast time woman! That tin won't open itself you know!'

Just tickled Fatty's armpits. She looked at me like I'd completely lost the plot!

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 30/05/2017 22:43

I have a 22 yr old black cat

She loves having her paws squeezed....quite hard! Each one in turn. She offers each little paw....

Strange cat

Wolfiefan · 30/05/2017 22:47

Old girl used to like me inserting a finger in between the pads on her paws and tickling. She was long haired and had floofy paws.
Now I have torties. Any touching is strictly an invitation only occurrence and any stepping over the bounds of permission results in instant savaging. Shock

Ski - only just seen your posts GrinGrin oops! Armpit tickle monster created

Mine are both snuggle monsters but draw the line at nail clipping.

Both are human-gazers and follow me everywhere 'chatting' to me.

ollivander84- yep he's a definite tickle monster now and I still can't do it without saying "I tickle your armpits" which always makes me laugh too 😂! He's currently walking all over my hands and meowing as I try to type 😬

Ski37 · 19/06/2017 19:35

I draw the line at trying to clip his claws though- I've seen them 😬 (although he's never once tried to scratch me). The vet did them a few weeks ago and he was good as gold, getting him in the pet carrier to get there however was an entirely different experience! Hopefully now he's going outside they won't need to be done so often ( and I got 6 months flea and worm treatment so I can do it myself next time 😬😬😬)
TheCatOfAthenry - my cat is also a 'chatter' but often gives me a look of disdain when I can't work out what he's saying 😂
