Cat fight and now cat bleeding near eye

Dcat decided to square up to neighbourhood boss cat and has now been scratched near her eye i believe as it's bleeding to the side near her nose. At her age 16 she really should know better.

With impeccable cat timing as she's going in the cattery on friday as we're on holiday then. I'm tending to the idea of calling vets tomorrow am and having her checked over though i do worry over her a lot (she has kidney failure).

If not actually from the eye, I'd be inclined to just keep tabs on it for signs of infection. How is she now?

Mine had the same problem recently although his was self inflicted, presumably through over vigorous scratching! The vet told me to clean it twice a day with diluted hibiscrub and monitor it. Thankfully it seems fine now.

Dcat appeared fine on Friday - I was having a bit of a panic about her as she's still our precious first cat and annoyed with DH for letting her out when there was no need.

Even though she looked fine, the cattery are excellent and will spoil her rotten and keep a watch on her for me.
