It's normal to refer to ourselves as mummy and daddy to our cat right?

Of course my cats are my babies and they also have their own voices, what's weird with that ????

At one point I would have thought this was madness. I'm not even a cat owner but 'cat sat' my friend's kitten for three days (just three days!) and found myself clling him 'little baby cat' at one point.

I am mummy to my little boy cat (who despite being two years still talks like a toddler) and mamma to my big girl (who is Russian - think this came from the film cats and dogs).

Yes I realise that they are a different species and can't really talk but it makes me happy. I have a difficult and emotionally draining job and my talking fur babies just give a little bit of release at the end of the shift.

DD refers to cat-daughter as her sister Grin

Yes I use Mum and Dad...I'm sure Ernie knows what I'm saying when I say "where's Dad".OH now refers to himself as Dad Grin
