i can't stop buying things for her. I think it's when I'm at work knowing she's on onher own til 9pm it's only three days a week then she she has me 100% I feel guilty not having a garden but she does go out with the boy next door, I feel bad not getting two and I almost got her a playmate yesterday but the lady never got back to me. Is this worth it? Or will it be another one of those things she turns her nose up at?

Google Jackson Galaxy - us cat behaviourist. This is just his sort of idea - give them vertical space in your home if space is limited.

Mine have shelves on the garden wall that they happily sleep on, from B&Q. Definitely deep enough for a grooming cat. I put 3 brackets instead of 2 though.

Ooo. That's posh Mantra. What were you doing to get them both looking at the camera? They look startled Shock!

RubbishMantra · 10/04/2017 17:54

They look like a pair of Shock owls, don't they SheRa? I just asked them nicely to look at the camera. whilst waving my arms about in a demented fashion to get their attention

HemanOrSheRa · 10/04/2017 18:11

He he! Yes, they do look like owls!

Now, I don't want to be accused of enabling anyone Grin buuuuuuut if you look on the Zooplus website there are customer photos attached to the items. Some people have cat lounging walls Shock. They look amazing! I spend many happy hours looking at those photos Smile.

Oh whilst you are googling I realused today that mine Is getting through the gaps in my balcony and jumping or falling onto the garage underneath my flat. Quite a drop is there any kind of wire I can get that won't encourage her to climb up it and jump from a greater height? I noticed some trellis's in pound shop today would that work?

You need to create a miniature cat proof fence that goes 'up and over'. protectapet.com/shop/cat-products/cat-balconies/.

How far is the drop? Pip jumps out of our lounge window onto a porch roof and then down onto the ground. She's been doing it for years. She also suns herself on the roof and freaks the neighbours out Grin.

HemanOrSheRa · 10/04/2017 19:45

Although, come to think of it, one of the ladies I used to visit in work had cat proofed her 8th floor balcony. She got is someone to fit floor to ceiling mesh. Something like this.

Errr....If you keep getting another cat on the grounds it will use the bits and pieces that the previous model ignored / got bored of, you are going to have a lot of cats.... Hmm

RubbishMantra · 11/04/2017 00:20

But nobody's suggested replacing a cat with a "newer model" on this thread have they, Weeds? Confused

I had a brief thought on getting rid of my cat tree because I thought it was pissing my cat off.

Weedsnseeds1 · 11/04/2017 07:58

No rubbish the suggestion was a companion and that it might use the bits the other cat ignored. I was just imagining a chain of cats, each with its own set of toys to ignore.... it was a joke, I wasn't suggesting that an upgrade cat was being obtained.

RubbishMantra · 11/04/2017 15:02

Ah, my bad, Weeds. I have had a sense of humour transplant today!
Confused

RubbishMantra · 11/04/2017 15:04

*....and had it replaced with wankerishness. Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 11/04/2017 15:50

No problem. I just had this vision of each coming home every couple of months with a new cat " surely one of them will show an interest in this wildly expensive cat accessory...." Smile

RubbishMantra · 11/04/2017 16:27

Thank you Weeds. Please forgive me for being an idiot. Blush

Weedsnseeds1 · 11/04/2017 16:38

No offense taken. I probably didn't word it too well!

EachandEveryone · 11/04/2017 17:22

Ive been thinking abput my balcony and it is a fire escape so a rood is a no go i need a panal of 1m x2m that can get delivered do you think it will work a trellis type thing or will she just and to clim and jump of anyway?! Its a risk i guess
