RitaMills he's gorge. I don't like it when my whitey gets dirty.

HemanOrSheRa · 08/04/2017 11:33

Pfft. My two are behaving like teenagers at the moment because of the warmer, sunny weather. They are coming in to eat and then buggering off out again.

Pip has taken up her spring/summer residence on the front garden wall. She lounges like a tiger in the sun and 'meeps' at passers-by, getting fuss and cuddles. She has a throne in our porch area for quieter moments.

God only knows where Frankie Knuckles is. We have a large green at the back of us. With trees and bushes too. He heads off that-a-way when he races off. He tried his best to stay in last night. He had me up and down like a fiddler's elbow though Angry. Finally went out at 4am. What with that and the dog needing her twice nightly recce, I'm knackered!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/04/2017 13:06

Pic not great

Er year - less brekkie and more cat next time! :)

RubbishMantra · 08/04/2017 14:24

Just attempted pulling bits of unidentified garden stuff out of Little M's curly and greasy fur. He thinks it's a great game, and keeps wandering off and attempting to hurl various objects over.

He's all bouncy and full of the joys of Spring though. Smile

Trustyourself2 · 08/04/2017 14:36

YetAnotherSpartacus, here he is having a snooze. We were in the garden, but he was on red alert, waiting for my other madcat to pounce, so I brought him in.

Oh a gorgeous shaggy boy! :) What is he wearing?

HemanOrSheRa · 08/04/2017 14:44

Aw. Bless LittleM. He does look like a little spring lamb. A little lambcat Smile.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 08/04/2017 15:09

By carefully changing furniture around I finally managed to get my Pöang and footstool back into my space.
And...
can I sit down in it and enjoy my book and G+T...?

Oh no, Sev is in there fast asleep everytime I try to sit down and you can't wake a sleeping cat, can you?

Trustyourself2 · 08/04/2017 15:37

Yet, he's wearing a bandana safety collar. He's very old now, 20, and looking a bit bedraggled these days.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/04/2017 16:08

Oh no, not bedraggled! Just shaggy! He's a gorgeous grand old man. Please do give him scratches from me (if he likes scratches).

RubbishMantra · 08/04/2017 17:19

He's a proper Peter Pan, SheRa. I keep forgetting LM's 3 years old and a kitten no more! He sends a paw bump out to Lordship Knuckles.

Ollivander84 · 08/04/2017 17:21

Sitting inside blinking at his HOOMAN and refusing to venture outside. He's like a vampire

HemanOrSheRa · 08/04/2017 17:34

Oh I don't know Mantra. Knuckles is 2 next month and behaves like frat boy Grin. Which is why his nickname is Little Goof. It's nice when they are still kitteny. DP also calls him Donkey Bollocks Blush. I shall pass on the paw bump and some weird street handshake when he returns home for dinner.

Weedsnseeds1 · 08/04/2017 20:48

He's enjoyed his holiday and now back home, checking out his territory and prompting terrified alarm calls from the local avian population

I am fascinated by you taking your boy on holiday Weeds. How does it work? You obviously walk him. Do you go on day trips and need to find cat friendly places or do people generally go Shock 'Yes of course!'

My two would not tolerate it but my old girl, Esme, who I had from 8 weeks would have Smile.

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 21:12

A great many places say 'pet friendly' Heman. They really mean dogs - because that's what they're used to having - but they're usually fine with cats also. Smile

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 21:16

P.S. - Twoago was a bonded Siamese and used to go everywhere with me. (He would likely not have eaten etc without my general presence.) It might not work for every cat but it worked fine with him. Smile

Weedsnseeds1 · 08/04/2017 21:17

heman , he is a very different personality to previous cats and is happiest being with us. He gets a live in cat sitter when we are going abroad. Short breaks in the UK, I look for pet friendly and call to ask if they mean pet, or just dig. The owner of this place was a cat owner and gave us special dispensation to allow him on furniture, on the bed, upstairs etc. which were against the rules for dogs! He walks on a lead ( has a cat flap at home) and I bring dog poo bags incase he abuses the flower beds.
It really wouldn't suit most cats, but we had a controlled experiment close to home that went well and he's come away on short breaks ever since. Off to the seaside for Easter!

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 21:20

Sorry, Yes. That was trips in the UK. The longest would be a 2 week touring holiday.

HemanOrSheRa · 08/04/2017 21:28

You are right of course, cozie Smile. I am fascinated because we have a dog (as well as cats) and have to look for dog friendly (nice) restaurants, beaches, pubs, cafes etc. Ones where you can sit inside in the unpredictable UK weather and still get decent service. So what do you do on hold when you have your cat with you?

We also own a 'pet friendly' holiday home. We allow up to two dogs but of course we would accept cats! We've never been asked! At the very least we would be getting the housekeeper to call in and take photos Grin. Not advertising BTW. I am just interested in the day to day logistics!

HemanOrSheRa · 08/04/2017 21:34

X post with you Weeds! I am very EnvyGrin. Mr P is just gorgeous!

cozietoesie · 08/04/2017 21:40

Twoago was the one we went away with most and he stayed in while we were out. His last two homes, he went outside but always preferred an inside tray for his business, so it was no hardship to him.

Weedsnseeds1 · 08/04/2017 21:43

He's a bit of an oddity as a cat though! We don't take him to restaurants etc. He's left behind in the accommodation ( only for a few hours,in which he sleeps) or if out on a walk, he will do some on his lead, so you sort of dawdle along while he checks things out, or pop him in the pet carrier rucksack / trolly thing, in which he snoozes until he wants to walk again.

Weedsnseeds1 · 08/04/2017 21:46

The owner of this place did say that they had had several cat enquiries this year, but he was their first actual guest. They put a post on their Facebook page!

Jurassictit · 08/04/2017 21:49

Mine earlier 😂
