Today was the first day warm enough to leave the door to the terasse open.
Sev tried to impress the wood pigeons coming to nest in the knotweed (the climbing variety you make sweets from).
He failed...

Trustyourself2 · 26/03/2017 22:23

One of mine has spent most of the day running up trees, over fences, up & down paths, mock hunting, in out the cat flap looking for treats and now she's finally resting, having batted my ear buds just a few times! What a busy girl she is.

Our old lady cat guarding the garden and the chunky little guy doing what he loves - lying in a sunbeam on a bed!

Aw I look at yours and see what my baby will look like when she's fully grown. I've just got in and we are playing you'd think I'd left her on her own for two weeks not two nights with both my neighbour and cleaner coming in to tend to her every need

PuffinCat is completely zonko! Lying curled up with her face against the back of the sofa. She's been twitching and has her mouth slightly open - dead to the world! I love her so so much!

Have booked my wee guys into a different vet so they are getting snipped and chipped on Thursday! Not looking forward to Thursday morning when they've had no food overnight.

My own vet was still saying (when I phoned today) that it's their policy not to neuter before 6 months but everything I've read says do it from 4 months

cozietoesie · 27/03/2017 15:05

I think you'll feel better about letting them out afterwards, demented? Smile

MrsCharlesBrandon · 27/03/2017 15:57

My girls were both neutered and chipped by the RSPCA once they were over 1kg in weight, and they were 3 and 4 months respectively when I rescued them.
I worry so much about my little tabby, she's very timid and spooks easily, but she's the one that vanishes over the fence after birds! My black and white is hand reared and think's she's a dog.

cozietoesie · 27/03/2017 16:33

Just to note, demented, that Oneago's sole litter brother sired a litter at 5 months to the apparent consternation of his breeder. He clearly had fully flowing hormones by that age. Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/03/2017 17:00

Our cats vet wanted to wait until 6 months so he'd have cobby cheeks but he was unbearable as an older kitten & I couldn't wait to get him done.

I've always said we should get Dh done too, such was the transformation.

My little girls have been enjoying their first taste of spring! They were also neutered at 3/4 months before I got them from the Cats Protection league....

What's in the bucket that's so fascinating? (All I can see is some moss.)

oxcat1 · 27/03/2017 17:36

I think it is rain water. Or perhaps a little bug? They're endless fun, until one of them gets a bit over-excited and accidentally kills it through over-exuberant play. At 9 months, the world is pretty damn exciting!

oxcat1 · 27/03/2017 17:38

That is, the bugs are endless fun, until killed by over-enthusiastic kittens. Not me killing off unsuspecting little kittens!

cozietoesie · 27/03/2017 18:07

That's the one thing I miss about kittens - First Snow, First Mirror etc etc. (Sadly, they only happen once. On balance, I'm happy with a mature cat. Smile)

ElizaDontlittle · 27/03/2017 18:39

They are gorgeous oxcat
pixie fingers and paws crossed for Thursday
Crazycat is a bit out of sorts - she's been on James Wellbeloved wet food for a couple of months and has decided to turn her nose up at it the last few days - then had a big miaowy rant tonight as the sun has gone off the windowsill that I think approximately translates as turn it back on you stupid human - also a bit short on cuddles. Hmmm. I'm doing a long day tomorrow so she'll be even more grumpy!

Regards to DH, by the way.

I have dropped my babies off at the vets, hope they won't hate me afterwards! They made a hell of a noise meowing at me this morning as I had to starve them from last night and they were hungry. Hope everything goes ok.

Trustyourself2 · 30/03/2017 10:33

My old man's having a little nosey from his fav spot.

Fingers crossed, demented. Let us know how things go.

cozietoesie · 30/03/2017 21:14

How did they get on, demented?

dementedpixie · 30/03/2017 21:38

Picked them up at 4pm ish as had to do the school run first. Operation went fine with no complications. As it was a male castration they don't need the collars and no stitches either. They had eaten at the vet and were quiet in the carrier on the way home. Have been ok at home although seem to walk a bit stiffly and have licked themselves a bit so hope they don't aggravate the area. Have had some food here too and did ginormous pees so maybe had held it in for ages. They have run about a little and had a few naps. Have to keep an eye on them in case of swelling or redness so hope it all heals well

Have had emails to set up the account for the microchips so have sorted that out as well.

dementedpixie · 30/03/2017 21:40

Hope all is well with you too cosietoesie and sorry about your loss FlowersFlowers

cozietoesie · 30/03/2017 21:40

Well done. That's it over with, anyway. Smile
