Bloody cat decided to wee in the baby's car seat. I've pulled off the cover and washed it but it still honks. Any brilliant ideas for getting cat wee smell out?

Bio washing powder works well. Wash and scrub it outside the washing machine and then put it in the washing machine with it too. I used to have a cat who weed round the house and i used to mix bio washing powder with water and scrub the floor and it's the only thing that got rid of the smell

I meant time say wear gloves when you do this as it's a bit of an irritant. Thinking about it I've heard white wine vinegar is good too.

Try rubbing ketchup and wash it on 60 degrees ( ketchup is used in States to remove skunk stench and I use it on my dog after fox poo accidents(and bath her afterwards )

Forgot to mention that you may mix it with baking soda as it is another stench destroyer

Bio powder didn't work. I forgot about tomatoes and skunk smell. Usually you have to mix it with Dawn washing up liquid. I wonder if there's an equivalent here?

Might zoflora work? I had stored car seats in the garage and they had gone moudly. But after a couple of washes with zoflora added, they smelt fine, if a little flowery!

Is it just the cover? If yes, a few washes in the machine with bio stuff and zoflora will do it. 60 wash gets it clean quicker. If it's sunk into the seat you need urine off, totally drench it and leave overnight then wash out with clean warm water.

the best thing I found for removing wee/poo or vomit smells is a mix of white vinegar, some drops of essential oil- grapefruit good and bicarb. Add to a spray bottle and add a splosh of hot water. Shake to mix and spray liberally. I've saved carpets,rugs and car seats with this

It's the harness. I've gotten it out of the fabric but the harness stinks. I'm not sue you're even suppose to wash the harness? Would zoflora be ok near a newborn?

If you're using bio powder it needs to be a very strong solution, dissolve it in hot water until no more will dissolve. If you can get the harness off I would soak it in that strong solution over night then rinse. When I have treated things with bio powder in the past I have soaked the area then let it dry then rinsed. The bio powder actually digests the smelly stuff, as does the spray that you can get from pet shops (I can never remember the name, its a blue spray bottle) but they take time to work and the item needs to be soaking wet in the solution. You want this rather than something that covers up the smell with perfume.
