Older cat pooing in the house, vet has suggested dry food, any recommendations?

We have a 12 year old cat. In the last few weeks she has started pooing on the front door mat, which is a large coir fitted one. The stools are very soft and it's making a terrible mess. We've replaced the mat and put down a litter tray, which isn't great by the front door but we are seasoned cat owners and sometimes such things are necessary.

However, on a visit to the vet on Friday for annual jabs we mentioned this and he, after examining her, suggested a change to a dry food for sensitive stomachs. She currently has Felix senior and Purina 7+ biscuits. So, can anyone recommend a particular dry food, or has had this issue and solved it? I'm not convinced food alone is going to solve this, it started so suddenly. We will of course take her back to the vet if it doesn't clear up,mashed can't have diaorreah for ever more.

My cats used Hills and their poos were well formed and didn't smell much.

Thanks, I've just googles Hills for sensitive stomachs and it says for cats aged 1-6. I'll do more research.
