Just got a kitten recently and he doesn't drink much water.
When I was growing up we had a family cat that lived til 16 from a kitten with us and mum said she always had regular green top milk like we did but apparently it's not good for them ?!

mine likes the running tap lol.But cats have a natural low thirst drive they get most of the water in their diet from their food.Ideally give your cat wet food morning and evening with some dry to snack on.

But check the ingredients supermarket food notorious for adding sugar

i bulk buy food online you can get much better quality for cheaper .Look for cat food with plenty of named meat products such as chicken, beef, lamb not animal derivatives,by product or digest

if you wish to give them a treat goats milk better than cows its easier to digest

No cow milk and apparently the Whiskers cat milk type stuff is basically junk. Out vet advised to keep water available away from where they're fed and to feed a good quality wet food and that this would be enough

My vet told me to dilute cow's milk with water. This was for a cat with cystitis.

Yes,I started putting milk down after a nasty bout of cystitis. If anything it kick started him into drinking more water too although he prefers water from a shot glass preferably held by a human

Claudicat has warmed Top cat milk every evening at bedtime out of her warmed (by dishwasher) shell shaped tiny dish. I've been too embarrassed to mention this to anyone, ever but now I see I'm not alone. Her copious water drinking takes place in puddles or filthy birdbath. Xmas Grin

Yes, Pucinni loves a filthy drink from the bird bath tooHmm

Try a glass of water. My two love that. And one of them likes drinking the dregs of my tea.
